Islam 365 Privacy Policy

Islam 365 does not collect your personal data. There are no user accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking of any kind. Everything you record in the app, including prayer logs, Quran bookmarks, tasbih counters, Zakat figures, profiles and cycle dates, is stored only on your own device and is never transmitted to us or to anyone else.

The app connects to the internet for exactly one optional purpose: streaming or downloading Quran recitation audio. Nothing about your worship, your location or your activity is ever sent anywhere.

This Privacy Policy applies to the Islam 365 mobile application for iOS and Android (the app), published by SprintX Private Limited (SprintX, we, us, or our). It describes how the app handles information on your device.

This policy covers the app only. The SprintX website is covered by our website privacy policy.

We want to be specific rather than vague. This section is about what leaves your device. Islam 365 never collects, receives, stores on any server, or shares any of the following:

• Your name, email address, phone number or postal address
• Any account credentials. The app has no sign-up, no login and no user accounts at all.
• Your location, at any level of precision. The app uses and saves coordinates on your device, as section 4 explains, but never sends them anywhere.
• Payment or billing information. The app is free and contains no purchases or subscriptions of any kind.
• Advertising identifiers (IDFA, GAID), device fingerprints or any other tracking identifier
• Usage analytics, event logs, heatmaps or crash reports
• Contacts, photos, calendar entries, microphone or camera data
• Your prayer records, Quran reading history, bookmarks, counters, Zakat calculations, saved profiles or cycle records

The app contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs and no third-party tracking libraries. We operate no server that receives your data, because there is no data to receive.

So the app can remember your preferences and your progress, it stores the following in the private app storage area of your device. This information stays on your device, is not synced, is not backed up to us, and is not readable by SprintX or by any third party:

• Prayer records: which prayers you marked as completed, and on what dates
• Quran activity: bookmarks, last read position, reading plan progress and chosen translation
• Counters and trackers: tasbih counts, fasting records and habit streaks
• Fasting records: fasting days you mark and any qada (make-up) fasts you track
• Profiles: the display name you choose, the profile type you pick (adult, woman or child), the topics you mark as interests, and the date the profile was created
• Parent PIN: if you set a PIN for the children section, it is stored as a cryptographic SHA-256 hash rather than as the PIN itself
• Cycle records: menstruation start and end dates, if you choose to use that feature
• Location coordinates: if you use automatic location, the latitude and longitude last read from your device are saved locally so prayer times keep working offline and without repeatedly waking the GPS. See section 4.
• Settings: your chosen city, language, calculation method and madhab, manual prayer time adjustments, Hijri date offset, theme, Arabic font size, translation mode, reciter and notification preferences
• Downloaded audio: recitation files you explicitly chose to download for offline listening

Figures you type into the Zakat calculator are an exception: they are held in memory only while the calculator is open and are never written to storage at all. Leaving the screen discards them.

Deleting the app removes all of this from your device.

Accurate prayer times and Qibla direction depend on knowing where you are. If you grant location permission, the app reads your coordinates from your device and uses them on the device to calculate prayer times and the direction of the Qibla. The app asks the operating system for medium accuracy rather than the highest available precision, because neighbourhood-level accuracy is all that prayer times require.

Those coordinates are then saved in the app private storage on your device, together with a label such as Current location. This lets prayer times continue to work offline and avoids switching on the GPS every time you open the app. The saved coordinates are erased when you clear your data in Settings, when you switch to choosing a city manually, or when you uninstall the app.

Your location is never transmitted. It is not sent to SprintX, not sent to any third party, and not used to build any profile of you. The prayer time calculation runs entirely offline on your device using the open-source Adhan library.

Location permission is optional. If you decline it, or withdraw it later in your device settings, the app continues to work. You simply choose your city manually instead. The app requests location only while you are using it, never in the background.

The Qibla compass additionally reads your device magnetometer (compass sensor) to show the heading. This reading is used on screen and is not recorded or transmitted.

If you enable prayer reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. These are generated by your own phone from prayer times calculated on your phone.

We do not operate a push notification service, we hold no push token for your device, and no notification content passes through our systems or any third-party messaging provider. You can disable notifications at any time in the app or in your device settings.

Almost all of Islam 365 works offline. The Quran text, translations, duas and guides are bundled inside the app itself. The app makes an outbound internet connection in only these situations:

6.1 Quran recitation audio. When you choose to play or download a recitation, the app requests the corresponding audio file from EveryAyah (everyayah.com), a public Quran audio archive. As with any request to any website, that provider will necessarily see your device IP address and which audio file was requested. We send them nothing else: no identifier, no account, and no record of your activity. Nothing is requested until you press play or download.

6.2 Links you tap. Some screens link to external sources such as Tanzil (tanzil.net), which we credit as a source of Quran text. Tapping such a link opens it in your own browser, and that site is then governed by its own privacy policy, not this one.

6.3 App stores. Downloading and updating the app is handled by Apple and Google. Their own policies cover what they collect when you install or update an app. We receive only aggregate, anonymous download and crash statistics from those stores, which cannot identify you individually.

We do not sell, rent, or share any personal information with anyone, for the simple reason that we do not hold any.

Some features of Islam 365 involve information that deserves particular care. We have designed each of them so the information never leaves your device:

• Cycle tracking (Muslimah section): menstruation dates you record are health information. They are written only to your local device storage, are never synced, never transmitted and never shared. They can be deleted at any time.
• Zakat calculator: the financial figures you enter are used on the device to perform the calculation and are never saved, never transmitted to us and never shared with any financial service. They exist only while the calculator screen is open.
• Religious practice: your prayer, fasting and recitation records reveal religious activity. They are stored locally and are never transmitted.

Islam 365 includes learning content intended for children, which a parent or guardian can protect with a PIN. Because the app collects no personal information whatsoever from any user, it collects none from children either.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and the app contains no advertising, no in-app purchases and no external links aimed at children. Any profile name or PIN a parent sets is stored on the device alone.

Because your data lives on your device, you control it directly:

• Export your data. Settings contains an option to export a copy of everything the app has stored, as readable JSON. The export is produced on your device and is not uploaded anywhere. It is placed on your device clipboard so you can paste it where you want it. Please note that the clipboard is a shared area of your operating system: other apps may be able to read it, and if you use Apple Universal Clipboard the content may be offered to your other Apple devices. Paste the export where you intend to keep it, then copy something else to clear it.
• Delete your data. Settings contains an option to erase everything the app has stored, including prayer records, bookmarks, profiles, cycle records, saved coordinates, the parent PIN and all settings. A separate checkbox controls whether downloaded recitation audio is deleted as well.
• Withdraw permissions. Location and notification permissions can be revoked at any time in your device settings.
• Uninstall. Deleting the app removes every trace of your data from your device.

There is no account to close and no deletion request to send us, because we never hold a copy of anything.

Privacy laws including the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) give you rights over personal data that a company holds about you, including rights of access, correction, deletion, portability and objection, and the right not to be sold or profiled.

SprintX holds no personal data about Islam 365 users, so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, delete or transfer. The access and deletion rights are exercised directly through the export and delete options inside the app. We have never sold or shared personal information, and we do not engage in targeted advertising or profiling.

If you are in the EEA or UK and believe your data protection rights have been infringed, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Your Islam 365 data is held in the private storage area that iOS and Android reserve for the app, protected by your device security, such as your passcode, biometric lock and the device encryption provided by the operating system. No other app can read it.

The parent PIN for the children section is stored as a SHA-256 hash, so the PIN itself is not written to your device in readable form.

We retain nothing, because we receive nothing. Your data is kept on your device for as long as you keep the app installed, and is removed when you erase it in Settings or uninstall the app.

Device backups. On Android, the app explicitly disables system backup, so your Islam 365 data is not copied to Google servers. On iOS, app data and downloaded audio sit in the standard app storage areas, which means they are included if you have chosen to back your iPhone up to iCloud or to a computer. That backup is made and encrypted by Apple under Apple terms; we have no access to it.

If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and revise the date shown at the top. Where a change is significant, we will highlight it in the app. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
